5 years yay :)

my friend Emma and i. i am without oxygen there and my o2 sats can not have been much. I wonder sometimes if i could have more blue lips than i had on this pic. i am glad i have working lungs now and my lips are pink :D
The christmas 2006, i had wait 2 years and 1 month for my tx call i was really sick, couldn´t do so much, mostly was siting in the sofa.

Here me with pink lips and happy :) --->

On this pic , i have just had my tx. :)
5 years has gone since i received my lung transplant. this five years has been up and down.
First after my transplant like walk 5-10 minutes was amazing and i didn´t need to stop to rest every minute or be out of breathe when i came to the city. wonderful!

But only 4 months after my transplant. My left eye started to look like an eye infection and after visiting 3 diffrent hospitals i finally came to my transplant hospital and things became more critical. The docs found fungus on one of my heartvalvs. The fungus had spred from the eye to my heart, in my bloodsystem.

I had a lifesaveing heartvalve surgery but to bad both my eyes got effected from the fungus. One worse than the other eye. My kidneys could not handle it. so I ended up on dialysis for 6 months.

After been at my trasnpalnt hospital for 3 months i finally could travle home but only to be in a hospital closer to my home.

I went in and out of hospitals in the fall of 2007, i lost alot of weight due to the fungus meds i was on. at least, I weighed 31 kg i became really weak and could not walk long distances because of my joints in the body were affected by medication, so I had a wheelchair.

In the beginning of 2008 my kidneys had came back to OK and i could stop dialysis finally!
My body was still weak from the meds but in May of 2008 i flow to the Nehtherlands to visit a very good friend of mine. It was a step forward in my recovery :)
I had an fantastic time in the Netherlands and my friend and suport from her family was amazing.

The journey to the Netherlands was very importent to me and I had the strength to continue to fight to survive.

Things slowly got better and i got my weight back and started to get use to not be able to see as much as i had done before. i got alot of things that could help me at home.

this is a bit of my story. also this with the fungus. so I do not regret that I chose a trasnplantation. it saved my life anyway. :)

Today i study at the uni. and live my life to the fullest.

Summer

It has been a busy year wuth school. its finally summer yay :D so far this summer i have been to Gothenbrug, Rome, Italy and to my home town. They held the WORLD TRANSPLANT GAMES In Gothenburg this year and i went there as an volunteer. Tried to answer people´s question about organ donation and handed out organ donor cards Hopefully people sign the organ donor cards as uts important, whether they say NO or YES to organ donation. Because other people will learn about it and rhan it is easier for your friends and family.

Rome, Italy 4 days.
I was there with my sister. we had a good time. Walk alot to see the tourist things. like Colicum.

I am now one step closer to hopefully finish one of my gols i always dreamed of to be able to get one day, a educatiom. I have started the uni, study a programme called education of health (hälsopedagog) and school is going ok. the programme is 3 years so hope i will be able to study the 3 years now.

Health update
As some of you know i have had problem with kidneystones the past year and in April (2010) i had a surgery to get the kidneystone out it went fine. But in September (2010) the kidneystone problem started all over again so i was to the ER and the doctor said it was kidneystone because i said i had have it twice before, so i got morphine shot and could go home but i went back to the ER a few days later this time also thinking it was kidneystones agaoin i was in so much pain and i could not pee it was pronanly necause i was very dessicated so i got IV´S. After i had have IV´S for awile it worked yay :) but the doctor was not sure if i had
urinary tract infection, he said the urinetest was not very clear anyway i did an x-ray and they could not see any kidneystones but the doctor said i should go back to the ER to do a ct scan, i got morphine shots and morphonepills i could take at home (not worked ) but i got home once again not feeling good so i decided to call my CF doc so i got a time there and the urinetest showed i had urinary tract infection and i did get antibiotics.
The ct scan i did showed i had a big kidneystone and once again i had a kidneystone surgery, at my birthday so i was not happy but in the end it went well. the last ct acan i did show it was all clear so i cross my fingers the kidneystomes mever comming back.
My lungs are fine :)

This text to the song is really nice

Have you ever made a wish
a wish for kingdom
for a little brother or sister
a wish that you could fly
be a superhero or a princess
that world was a better place
or scared
sick children could get well and play forever
we make that wish everyday
and through the selfless actions
of dedicared people
well make that wish come true
